photoshop is definately something i would like to learn before college. from simple picture touchups (it can't make up for bad photography, and having photoshop is not an excuse for bad photography). there are usually cheap student packages for software, with hope that the student will grow up and pay a lot for a better version.

the photo project for friday is going to be interesting. i want to see how far i can push photoshop, but i still need to go back to the initial question: "What could have happened?". if i had given up speech, its extreme. if i had gone the technical, order-driven path. that would be 

harold and maude. MAude. the whole movie is goddess-worship. harold is surrounded by women- maude, his mother, the girls around him. and his suicide attempts aren't for death as much as for the hope of rebirth. i need to see that movie again for a full affect.

now, there is recognition of myth. but the next step, and the most important, is being able to use the information. perhaps (but i never said this) the "majorly big project that everyone will worry about" can be brought back, butwith less pressure and more application of story/myth.

oooh perhaps i should read Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos again.
