The original idea, smiling behind drawn lips. too shaky and my posters are in the background. The lighting on the second one actually worked better, but a little too contrasting. sharper image, though.
The third is better, but the posters are in the background again. I gave up with the lips- they never were quite the way they should have been- and tried the simplest human face. It does give a very different message than the other ones, and im thinking it works better. There's still no environment, originally these were going to be shot torso up in front of a brick wall with the smilyface painted/chalked on it. i should really rethink this project just to be able to find out exactly what i want to get across.
photography is still a great mystery.
There is a beautiful quality to the light in all of these. It is an interesting idea, but I am wondering what you are trying to say. Remember, this is who you would be in the event of a different decision. Are you expressing that other person?
ReplyDeletei still need to think about that- what exactly i want to say and find a functional means of saying it. and i found a lamp.
